Privacy Policy

The only personal information this site holds is an email address, and only if you chose to give us one.

Version 1.1 · Effective September 2, 2026

1. The short version

  • You do not need an account to use anything on this site.
  • The calculators store nothing. What you type stays in your browser.
  • There are no advertising pixels, no social pixels, no session replay and no cross-site tracking anywhere on this site.
  • We do not sell, rent or trade your information. Ever.
  • The only personal information we hold is an email address, and only if you chose to give us one.

2. Who we are

The GLP-1 Collective, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, EIN 33-2783506, 6701 Corporate Dr, Ste N, Johnston, IA 50131. [email protected]

3. What we collect

If you sign up for email

Your email address, the fact that you consented, roughly when, and which page you signed up from. That is all. We use it to send you the updates you asked for.

If you write to us

Whatever you put in your message, so we can answer it. Please do not send us detailed medical information — we cannot advise on it and we would rather not hold it.

Automatically

Our host records standard server and security logs — IP address, time, page requested, user agent — to serve pages and defend against attacks. We do not use them to build a profile of you.

What we do not collect

We do not collect anything you enter into a calculator, because it never leaves your browser. We do not use analytics that identify you. We do not fingerprint your device, and we do not infer anything about your health.

4. The mailing list belongs to the Collective

This one matters enough to have its own section. If you give us your email address, that address is the charity's, and it is used only to send you what you asked for.

We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or make it available for marketing to Cozy Butter LLC, GLP-1 Studio LLC, or any other company — including companies connected to our own Executive Director. If you are also on one of their lists, it is because you signed up there separately.

Our emails are supported by sponsorship, so a sponsor may be thanked by name in one. That is the only thing a sponsor gets. Sponsors do not receive your email address, are not told who is on this list, and never send you anything themselves.

Every email we send carries a working unsubscribe link, our name, and our postal address.

5. Who else touches your data

WhoWhat for
CloudflareHosting, DNS and security for this site
SupabaseStores the email signup list
ResendDelivers the contact form to our inbox, and delivers our email updates
Google WorkspaceOur email, if you write to us

That is the complete list. Each is a service provider acting on our instructions, not a partner we share data with for their own purposes.

This site makes no third-party requests at all. There are no external scripts, no embedded players, no advertising or analytics tags, and no web fonts loaded from anyone else's server — our fonts are served from this domain precisely so that opening a page here does not hand your IP address to a company you did not choose to visit.

6. We do not sell your information

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act. We have not done either in the preceding twelve months, and we have never done either. We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone, of any age, including people under 16.

Because there is nothing to opt out of, there is no “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link on this site. We honour Global Privacy Control signals by default, in the sense that there is no selling, sharing or targeted advertising for the signal to switch off.

We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information, and we do not use your information to build a profile, to score you, or to make any automated decision about you.

7. Republished content

Patient Lens is published here in full. Reading it here does not send anything about you to its original publisher. Links to outside reporting are ordinary links — following one takes you to a site with its own privacy practices.

8. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, to give you a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop emailing you. Write to [email protected] from the address you signed up with, or tell us enough that we can find you. We answer within 45 days and may take one 45-day extension, telling you why. There is no charge.

If we turn a request down, you may appeal by replying to us. We answer appeals within 45 days, and if we deny an appeal we will tell you how to complain to your state Attorney General. We will not treat you differently, or withhold anything on this site, because you exercised any of these rights.

These rights are given by different laws in different places — among them the California Consumer Privacy Act, and the consumer privacy acts of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana and the other states that have passed one. We do not try to work out which one applies to you. We give everyone the same rights and answer everyone the same way.

An authorized agent may make a request for you; we will ask for proof that you authorized them.

9. Security, and what happens if we get it wrong

We keep the amount of information we hold deliberately tiny, which is the most effective security measure available to an organization our size. The mailing list is held in a database that is not reachable from the public internet and is not readable by the key this website uses — the site can add an address to the list and cannot read the list back. Access is limited to people who need it.

No system is perfectly secure, and we do not promise otherwise. If personal information we hold is breached, we will notify affected people and the relevant authorities as the law requires, and we will tell you what happened rather than the minimum we can get away with.

10. Where your information is

We are based in the United States and our service providers store data in the United States. This site is intended for people in the United States. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area and choose to sign up anyway, our lawful basis is your consent, you can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link, and you have the right to complain to your supervisory authority.

11. How long we keep things

Email addresses until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete, then removed within 30 days. Correspondence for as long as needed to deal with it. Server logs on our host's ordinary short retention cycle.

12. Children and young people

This site is written for adults, and you must be 18 or older to sign up for email or to use the contact form. The site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it promptly.

We publish a page for teenagers and adolescents because parents and clinicians need it. Reading it collects nothing: no page on this site collects anything from a reader who does not fill in a form.

13. Health information

We are not a healthcare provider and not a HIPAA covered entity. Because much of what we publish concerns a medical condition, we also maintain a Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy describing our practices under Washington's My Health My Data Act and similar laws. Read it alongside this one.

14. Changes

If we change this policy materially we will post the new version with a new version number and effective date, and give notice before it takes effect.
