GLP-1 Collective

Community

You should be able to
ask someone.

Most of what you need in the first year is not clinical. It is knowing whether what is happening to you is normal, and hearing it from someone who has been there. The community we point people to is a GLP-1 forum and community, built for people on these medications.

GLP-1 Community Cozy Butter

GLP-1 Community Cozy Butter is a free online space for people taking GLP-1 medications. Anyone can read the posts without an account. To post, comment or join a live session, you make a free Cozy Butter account. The GLP-1 Collective is a separate organization and has no accounts or logins.

Inside Cozy Butter you will find:

  • Support groups for people taking GLP-1 medications
  • Group health coaching sessions
  • Fitness groups that meet on a regular schedule
  • Live Q&A sessions with guest speakers, including obesity specialists
  • Health coaches who answer members' questions
  • Daily GLP-1 news and law updates
  • Spaces for mindset, movement, nutrition and side effects
  • Members at every stage, from their first dose to years in

How this works. GLP-1 Community Cozy Butter is operated by Cozy Butter LLC, an independent for-profit company co-founded by Kim Carlos and by Amanda Bonello, who is also the Collective's Executive Director. It is a free community: joining, group classes and live sessions cost nothing. It is supported by advertising from a range of companies and by optional member contributions. The GLP-1 Collective pays nothing for this and receives no payment, commission or referral fee of any kind. We list it because it is a free peer-support resource we could not build ourselves. Read our full disclosures.

What the Collective hosted

Before we started pointing people to GLP-1 Community Cozy Butter, we ran our own free live sessions. Every one of them was hosted by someone who gave their time for nothing, and they are listed here because the people who ran them deserve to be named rather than thanked in the abstract.

We stopped running them separately because the same kinds of sessions now happen several times a week in the community above, and duplicating them served nobody.

Photographs are the speakers' own, used on the event pages they appeared on when each session was announced. Naming someone here records that they gave their time to a session. It is not a claim that they endorse, sponsor or are affiliated with the GLP-1 Collective.

A note on what community is for

Peer support is not medical care. People in a community can tell you what happened to them. They cannot tell you what will happen to you, and they cannot tell you what to take or how much.

Bring what you learn to your prescriber. That is the whole point of knowing what to ask.
