🎉 We are Now Officially a Certified Charitable Nonprofit Corporation 🎉
It's been 3-weeks weeks since our last update. This movement has grown exponentially in that amount of time.
We are now a certified Charitable Nonprofit Corporation called the GLP-1 Collective! This is a massive milestone that lays the foundation for our fight to make GLP-1 medications affordable and accessible for everyone who needs them.
We’ve also been hard at work building resources for our community:
Support Groups: We’re creating a welcoming space for people to connect and share their journeys.
Educational Tools: We’re working with doctors to add resources to the website, giving patients the knowledge they need to advocate for their care.
Physician Locator Map: A tool is in development to help you find local physicians who support GLP-1 use and empower their patients.
Our Podcast: This new platform is amplifying community stories and spreading awareness about the need for affordable access.
Our Blog: We’ve also launched a blog where people can submit and share their personal stories, creating an inspiring resource for others in the community.
GLP-1 Workshops: We’re planning workshops hosted by licensed professionals to provide valuable insights.
And so much more!
In other important news, the FDA returned to court yesterday regarding compounded tirzepatide. A preliminary injunction was issued, extending its availability for now. This is a critical win for those relying on compounded options, but the fight for long-term solutions is far from over.
I want to take a moment to thank you all. Your comments and videos have gotten me through the dark times and reminded me why this work is so important. Because of your efforts to share and promote the petition, we’re closing in on 20k signatures—an incredible show of support for this cause especially considering that it only began 2 months ago.
At this critical stage, donations are more important than ever to help cover the startup costs we’ve been paying out of pocket. We are in the process of filing for tax-exempt status, and while donations aren’t tax-exempt yet, they may qualify retroactively once our status is approved.
